So,
Technically I have been quit for a week now, but I did slip up Saturday night and smoked a few... but they were disgusting. So I am considering it a week since I have quit being a "full time" smoker. I picked up Sunday and I didn't even need one or Nicorette all day. The boredom is what gets me... sitting around work. Oh well, I will prevail.

Day 2 or "Highway to the Danger Zone"
So I am at the end of day 2 of my "quit" as the people on the about.com forum call it. I have chewed about 4 pieces of Nicorette today and do feel better about myself, but I have noticed one thing. I am a really shitty driver when I don't have anything to distract me. Seriously, I drift a lot and speed. Not good at all. There is a haziness that has lifted from my head, I don't know if it's because I am getting more oxygen or what, but I am going to keep on keepin' on with this. See you tomorrow.

Day One Redux or How I Quit Smoking and Learned to Love the Bomb
Ok, I suck. I didn't even last 12 hours without a cigarette yesterday. I decided to try the "Allen Carr's Easy Way to Quit Smoking" last night. Been putting this off for fear of it working, but I finally hit the last straw. I am done now. Seriously. He puts it into perspective for you and how you ARE a drug addict, even if it is nicotine. So the plans for tonight are to keep on not smoking, do some laundry and play some Fable 2. No darts, staying away from the pub for the time being. Update tomorrow!

Day 1
I quit smoking today. After about 13 years of smoking and 10 of a pack a day habit, I am done. I feel crappy (before quitting) and I am hoping that it improves my health overall. Which it will. Planning on going to Columbus this weekend - that will be a test. But I will make it through. One day at a time, I guess!
